KAYAKING SKILLS TRAINING
Here at Baltinglass OEC we offer a range of kayaking courses to suit a wide variety of needs. These courses are all Irish Canoe Union (ICU) Certified and are delivered by our highly experienced and expertly qualified staff.
Courses include
ICU Level 1 Kayak Proficiency - Basic Skills
ICU Level 2 Kayak Proficiency - Improving Skills
ICU Level 3 Kayak Proficiency - White Water (Grade 2)
ICU Level 1 Kayak Instructor/Coach - For the enthusiastic kayaker who requires the skills to help pass their knowledge onto others
ICU Level 2 Kayak Instructor/Coach - For the more experienced kayaker who wants to coach and lead short trips
We also offer
ICU River Safety and Rescue 1 (RSR 1) - Stand alone award dealing with the core skills of white water safety and rescue

Day Courses normally run over two days from 10am to 4pm each day, sites used include the adjacent River Slaney, Blessington Lakes, and Rivers Barrow, Liffey, Avonmore amongst others. Evening Courses normally run for one evening a week for four consecutive weeks, 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
