HORIZONS PROGRAMME – A SCHOOL COMPLETION INITIATIVE
It is often argued that outdoor education is not so much a subject as an approach to education that is concerned with total development. At its best, a well structured activity or programme can offer the student a chance to move from total dependence to a state of relative independence. This new found sense of self confidence derived in the outdoor environment can, with the correct guidance encourage an unconvinced student that education has no boundaries.
At Baltinglass O.E.T.C we have designed our Horizons Programmes so that participants will experience two quality activities where progression and continuity are priorities.
