Track & Trail Guide Traineeship
This training course aims to provide applicants with the skills and knowledge required to be able to work as Walking Guides, leading groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer Conditions. All trainees receive the tuition and supports they need to prepare them for the final assessments.
The modules covered are delivered by our expert and experienced staff include:
- Low Land Leader Award
- Navigational Skills
- Leave No Trace
- Rescue Emergency Care First Aid
- Child Safeguarding
- Manual Handling
- Careers & Planning
Trainees will also have some hours in the class room; however most of the training is practical.
This course runs for 16 weeks. The programme includes a work placement module, where trainees will experience on the job training and gain from the experience and expertise in the network of adventure activity / education providers around the country.
